हिमालय (IPA pronunciation: [hɪ'mɑlijə], [ˌhɪmə'leɪjə]) ही पर्वतरांग आशिया खंडात असून, दक्षिण आशियास तिबेटच्या पठारापासून वेगळे करते. जगातील सगळ्यात उंच शिखरांपैकी अनेक शिखरे या पर्वतरांगेत आहेत.

संस्कृत भाषेत हिमालय म्हणजे बर्फ (हिम) जेथे वास करते ते स्थान (अलय).
